Happy New Year to all Highway Patrol Fans. It's been 18 years since we started this site dedicated to a television show that still on the air after first being broadcast over 60 years ago, 10-4!

I just checked This TV's web site and no Highway Patrol episodes are listed. On Monday 1/4/16 at 5 a.m., This TV is airing Rat Patrol in Highway Patrol's usual spot. It may not be a bad thing if it means someone else can air the show. This TV wasn't airing all the episodes anyway or the closing remarks by BC.

Hi Debbie,
I have noticed in the past that THIS TV gives series a "rest", then later runs them again. Series like Run For Your Life went away, came back for weekends only then every night.
Highway Patrol could pop up again on multiple channels,hopefully, as you noted, with the Big Guy's closing remarks restored.
I think it would be a natural to pair it up with Adam-12.

Years ago I talked to the head of MeTV about doing intros to each episode dressed as Broderick standing by my 55 Buick and they were interested! I'd sure like to see them get the rights to the show.

Dan Matthews Carried A Colt Detective Special In A Crossdraw Clip On Holster. I Watched It On KTNT-TV In The 1960's And Early 1970's With My Mom When I Was A Kid. Please Ask ME-TV Then To Air Highway Patrol On Their Lineup. Broderick Crawford Played Chief Dan Matthews Then He Starred In King Of Diamonds And The Interns. As A Doctor. I Like Broderick Crawford's Fedora On Series Highway Patrol I Have A DVD Of The Series Please Send Me Seasons 1,2,3 And 4 Of Highway Patrol Saturday April 30,2016 So I Can Watch The Series. Watched Highway Patrol when I was a kid. Now that I'm older, I bought a DVD at Cracker Barrell that had the Best of Season 2 on it and I was hooked, again!
I bought every season of the show from Best Buy and I'm in Heaven! LOVE this old show!!

I have always enjoyed watching HIGHWAY PATROL with my dad in the 1950s, when I was just a young boy. Now in 2016 and much older, I still enjoyed the program now on DVDs. Thank you for the website on this great television program.- 10-4!

Here is something our fellow Highway Patrol fans might enjoy.
I just finished watching the first episode of Stakeout, from Sept. 26, 1959.
Starring MacDonald Carey as the legendary lawyer Herbert L. Maris , a real life attorney who specialized in hopeless cases and the wrongly convicted.
A ZIV production that ran for 2 years and 78 episodes, you can watch it on Youtube.
It's the flip side of Highway Patrol, but with better production values if only because ZIV had more bucks to spend than when it started up with Highway Patrol.
Also like our beloved Highway Patrol, it's filmed for the most part outside(rarely done anymore with today's series, too expensive, so they are back lot or set bound).
This becomes an added bonus because it becomes a time capsule of 1959 California, you get to see the cars,the streets, the stores and the people of the era.
Perhaps one of you Californians can tell me if it was filmed in the same areas as Highway Patrol?
Reflecting Stakeout's bigger budgets this episode boasts the great character actors John Doucette, Vic Tayback and Leo Gordon(a real life ex-con who went straight and one of the toughest SOB's ever in Hollywood). Plus Jack Hogan from Combat and as the brassy blonde the reliable Peggy Knudsen who was always cast as a B girl become she literally fit the role so well.
I can't put my finger on why but I seem to enjoy all the ZIV productions, starting when I was a kid and got up every saturday morning at 7 am to catch Cisco Kid reruns on channel 5 out of NYC.

this is what I observed from this great show. the crew is identified by name and
what they did for the show (i.e. eddie davis..director) Broderick Crawford is identified as Dan Mathews. As for the rest of the cast, the actors real name is credited without the role they played.
